How do you make a good living from your Heart's profession ?
Life isn't about finding yourself, it's about creating yourself
~ George Bernard Shaw~
That's it! You've taken the plunge! You've launched your business or project!
Perhaps as a result of a professional reconversion or are in employee transition, perhaps you've successfully completed a certification or perhaps you've already been an entrepreneur for some time ....
But your project isn't taking off as you'd like! You stagnate or things don't go as you planned.
Instead of being fulfilled, it's STRESS, while you practice your heart's profession. You wonder if, one day, you'll be able to make a living from it, and for some of you, secure a good retirement.
If, on top of that, you're an expatriate or impatriate, you have to manage the integration of your family, that's a lot. And it gets even more complicated if you have to deal with another culture, codes and language.
So what to do?!
Insanity is doing the same thing over and over again and expecting a different result.
~ Albert Einstein ~
You're not alone!
"Only 60% of micro-entrepreneurs registered in the first half of 2014 start a business before the end of the year. "
"Micro-businesses have very low sustainability: of the 60% who have actually started a business, 49% are sustainable after three years. "
DGE France Nov. 2017
Why is the success rate so low?
Where do their difficulties come from?
What I see:
Difficulty in positioning and a lack of clarity in the services they offer. Committing in services that don't suit them leads to an increased workload and loss of motivation, sometimes resulting in customer dissatisfaction and unpaid bills.
A lack of alignment and authenticity under the influence of unconscious injunctions and socio-educational conditioning (see test Why I can't do it), fears and beliefs.
A lack of a sense of legitimacy, which makes them ask for prices that are too low. By comparing themselves to others, they feel they have to fit a certain image or model. They focus on their weaknesses, missing skills and abilities, without recognizing their own value and built up experiences. This can lead to paralysis and a compulsion for training, certification, etc., resulting in dispersion and sometimes high costs.
A sacrifice of personal needs, family, social life, leading to exhaustion.
Discouragement with isolation, with the risk of giving up dream projects and wanting to return to a wage-earning employment.
But is that still possible?
Give up the independence and freedom that entrepreneurship offers, and live out the fulfillment of your heart's desire and your self-realization.
"If there's one thing life has taught me, it's ADAPTABILITY."
I'll spare you the details of the first few months of my life, but in broad outline, I was born in Asia, in South Korea. Adopted as a baby, I spent my entire childhood in Belgium and part of my adult life, until I chose (15+ years ago) to move to the United States, the country that saw my second career change and the birth of my daughter.
I didn't go through the slump that many expatriates go through. Maybe because I've always considered myself a child of the world, with a curiosity to learn and understand.
This need to adapt to the unknown at an early age has made me open-minded, multi-cultural, resilient and humble.
"I've always seen myself as a child of the World."
Atypical is the perfect word to summarize up my career path. After a career in the pharmaceutical field in Belgium, frustrated not to have been able to study psychology, and faced with the lack of opportunities as a biologist, I turned to a profession that seemed more human to me by seeking certifications in HR management. And then, when I arrived in the USA, I dived into teaching French.
Once again, I was responding to a request and taking up an opportunity that wasn't totally in line with my aspirations.
Finding your way is often easier than you think,
all you have to do is change your fears and BELIEFS.

The revelation
I first found the solution in neuroscience. It was a revelation!
During the global pandemic crisis, I read a lot (see the toolbox), immersed myself in personal development tools, meditation, visualization, heart energy, Ikigai, among others...
I searched through my multiple life experiences AND I FOUND IT!
I created my own Method.

And the big question:
"Where do you START to make a good living from your Heart's PROFESSION ?"
What you think, you become.
What you feel, you attract.
What you imagine, you create.

How authentic are you?
Our childhood and upbringing have conditioned us to a certain way of functioning. This has certainly enabled us to structure ourselves and conform to our social and family environment.
But this effort to conform has more or less pulled us away from our true personality.
Reconnecting with our essence allows us to blossom and fully unfold our potential and creativity.
